Privacy Policy
Your trust matters. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have when you use Vrittio.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vrittio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
By creating an account or using the Services, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Last updated: April 8, 2026. We may update this policy from time to time; the new version will be posted here with a revised date.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and profile
When you sign up (for example with email/password or a sign-in provider such as Google), we collect information needed to create and secure your account, such as your email address, display name, and profile photo if you choose to provide one. Authentication may be processed by our authentication provider (e.g. Google Firebase Authentication).
2.2 Habit and app data
We store the content you enter in the app, including habits, goals, check-ins, logs, notes, optional mood or context fields, reminders configuration, and similar data you choose to save. This data is used to provide core functionality of the Services.
2.3 Optional health-related profile
You may optionally provide lifestyle or wellness-related fields (for example activity level or sleep goals) to personalize your experience. Providing this information is voluntary.
2.4 AI features
If you use optional AI-powered insights, we process relevant portions of your habit data (for example recent logs and summaries) through our systems and, where enabled, third-party AI providers to generate suggestions or summaries. We do not use this data to train public models for unrelated purposes; processing is limited to operating the feature and as described in agreements with subprocessors.
2.5 Device and technical data
We may collect device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate timezone, diagnostic logs, and similar technical information to maintain security, fix issues, and improve performance.
2.6 Communications
If you contact us or subscribe to updates, we process your contact details and message content. We may send transactional emails (for example welcome or account-related messages) through an email service provider.
2.7 Purchases (when available)
If you make in-app purchases or subscriptions, payment processing is handled by the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play). We receive limited information from those platforms to verify entitlement and manage your plan—not your full card details.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Sync your data across devices when you use the app
- Deliver optional AI insights and personalization you request
- Send service-related notices and, where permitted, product updates
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve the product
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where applicable privacy laws require a “legal basis,” we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Services you request); legitimate interests (security, improvement, and communications that are reasonably expected); consent where we ask for it (for example certain optional features or marketing, if offered); and legal obligation where required.
6. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in your region (commonly under 13 in the U.S. or under 16 in the EEA for certain services). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal data.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can manage some information in the app settings. For other requests, contact us at the email below. We will respond in line with applicable law.
11. U.S. state privacy notices
If you reside in a U.S. state with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have additional rights (such as opt-out of certain “sales” or “sharing” for targeted advertising, where those terms apply). We do not sell personal information for money. For rights requests, contact us using the details below.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example in-app or by email) where appropriate.
